There are many ways in which a message gets to a person through studying numerous parts of an image. It can be linguistic, if an image has a text or caption on it or simply iconic that may be coded or non-coded. It may also possible that the image is conveying a message in the context of a indisputable culture or society. In other words, we get to know various meanings by simply looking at at an image.
